I’m Mark, I’ve been Fishing The Gulf Coast of Florida for decades!

If you’re looking to get tight on some fish in the Florida East Coast backcountry, you’re in the right spot. My skiff is built for the skinny water—we’re talking inches, not feet. I spend most of my time up on the polling platform, pushing us through the flats and sight-fishing. There isn’t much that beats the rush of spotting a tailing redfish or a snook tucked under the mangroves before the angler even sees ’em.

I’ve got plenty of high-end spinning gear on the boat if that’s your speed, and we’ll certainly put fish in the boat with it. But, if you really want to test your mettle, we’ll strip some line and hunt ’em with a fly rod. Nothing compares to that perfect presentation and the strip-set when a fish inhales a fly.

A few things to know before we cast off:

• Your Crew: It’s just you and your plus-one. I only run private charters for one party at a time. It keeps things quiet on the water and ensures you get my full attention.

• The Boat: It’s a specialized flats boat. It’s got the motor to get us there fast, but once we’re in the zone, I’m on the pole to keep us stealthy.

• The Vibe: We’re here to catch fish, but we’re also here to enjoy the salt air. Whether you’re a seasoned fly-caster or just looking to bend a rod, I’ll get you on the bite.
